When to Buy the LSAC CAS?

Plan on taking the February LSAT, applying in fall 'eighteen. Notwithstanding, I took a year off later graduation and want to get my letters now earlier too much time elapses since undergrad. Do I basically have to pay the $185 for the CAS prior to contacting my professors about LoR? Information technology'due south been a financially rough twelvemonth and would prefer not to have to pay forth both the LSAT registration fee and the CAS at the same time.

Non sure if this will aid but information technology's related. I'g applying in fall 2018 as well; I wasn't sure when I should do the CRS. I called LSAC and they told me I should just await till early next fall. I'm not planning on ownership the CAS till late adjacent summer. Not sure why you would need it so soon. Anyway, couldn't yous just inquire your profs to write the letters and not upload them to CAS or whatever (I'm non sure how that works) till y'all've paid for it?

You don't take to practise CRS now. I would ask your professors now in person or by email so they start writing it early and send them another email right earlier you sign up for CRS and they receive the official submission link.

As a side notation I wouldn't recommend taking the February LSAT equally the thought of never knowing which questions I got correct and incorrect would bulldoze me insane.
